Hu, Wen, Wu meets U.S. House Speaker

Chinese President Hu Jintao, Top Legislator Wu Bangguo, and Premier Wen Jiabao have seperately met with visiting U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The top Chinese leaders expressed willingness to forge a positive, cooperative and comprehensive bilateral relationship.

Pelosi said she also hopes the two sides could step up cooperation in multiple fields especially in the area of climate change.

China reports 13th A/H1N1 flu case

China has reported the 13th confirmed case of the H1N1 flu in the mainland.

It is also the second confirmed case in Southern Province of Guangdong.

The patient is a Chinese American who flew from San Francisco to Hong Kong, before arriving in Jiangmen City.

Also Wednesday, both Shanghai and Fujian reported a new suspected case.

China announces further support policies for exports

The Chinese government has announced further support policies to help exporters, including expanded export credit insurance, tax breaks and more financial access.

An executive meeting of the State Council also says the country would keep the Renminbi "basically stable" at a "reasonable and balanced" level to help exporters avoid exchange risks.

China centrally administered SOEs to recruit more graduates to ease job pressure

99 centrally administered state-owned enterprises in China plan to recruit more than 200,000 graduates this year to ease job pressure.

The recruitment number is 7 percent more than that of the previous year.

China National Petroleum Corp., the country's largest oil and gas producer and supplier, has by far held more than 30 job fairs in universities. It plans to recruit 13,000 graduates this year, an increase of 37 percent.
