Just scratching the surface
We love the fact that caffeine gives us a little "pep," but what we forget is that caffeine is the culprit behind many a headache and sleepless night. Add to this list of negative side effects stomach ulcers, fragile bones, irritability, dizziness and nausea and we begin to see the caution flags more clearly. Putting anything into our bodies that affects us in so many varied and unpredictable ways is something we should try to avoid.
Get disciplined!
Consuming large amounts of caffeine is an admission that we can’t discipline ourselves to eat right or get the exercise or the sleep that we need. We’ll gulp down a caffeinated power drink so we can stay up late. Then we’ll grab a double shot espresso to wake us up the next morning. Later, we might have a cola or two to help fight the afternoon lethargy. Yes, caffeine is addictive, and habitually depriving our bodies of sleep will catch up with us in one form or another. Let's treat our bodies better by breaking the cycle and staying away from caffeine.
Now, what's your viewpoint?
