No gas? No problem!
If electrical power can improve fuel efficiency why not eliminate gasoline engines altogether? All electric cars are the next step toward a petroleum -free future. Someday drivers everywhere may plug their cars into electrical outlet at night. One electric car receiving a lot of attention if Tesla's Roadster. This expensive sports car can go 130 mph and runs for 245 miles on one charge.

Computer invasion
Fuel improvements get the most attention, but automakers are adding many other high-tech features to make vehicles safer andeasier to drive. Some new Nissan cars have special cameras to give drivers an overhead perspective of their vehicle to help in difficult parking situations. Automobiles with navigation assistance are becoming more common, with some system allowing drivers to send maps from the Internet straight to their car's computer. And GM's OnStar system is in contact with vehicles wherever they go, giving owners asssistance in case of an emergency or problem with their car.

Of course, one can still buy a that skips all these high-tech features. Sometimes, the simplicity of a car that safely delivers its passengers to their destination is all the technology one needs.
